Mr Ahmed Othman is a Consultant Cardiac and Aortic Surgeon at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, with a specialist practice dedicated to the full spectrum of aortic disease. Treatment across the full spectrum of aortic surgery, including aortic root surgery, aortic arch repair (including hybrid techniques), and thoracoabdominal aortic repair.

This also includes patients with heritable aortic conditions, where surveillance, timing of intervention, and family considerations form an important part of treatment.
Aortic Valve Surgery
Treatment for aortic valve disease, including aortic valve repair, valve replacement, and the Ross procedure.
Where appropriate, preserving and repairing the patient’s own valve is considered. Treatment is tailored to the individual, taking into account the nature of the valve condition, any associated aortic disease, and the most suitable surgical approach.
Where both the valve and the aorta require treatment, these are managed within a carefully planned overall surgical strategy.
